“The full-bodied voice of mezzo soprano and commanding presence of Jessica Bowers presents Gaia as a complex figure of elegance and repressed sexuality…” – New York Theater Wire
Jessica Bowers has performed with Anchorage Opera, Utah Opera, and Opera Boston, as well as recitals with Poetica Musica, Sonora House, and Florestan Recital Project.
Guitarist Oren Fader has performed in Asia, Europe, and throughout the United States. Recent concerto performances include the Villa-Lobos Guitar Concerto with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” with the New Jersey and Omaha Symphonies.
“His scholarship, technique, and intelligent musicianship are plainly evident and the beauty of his tone is consistently compelling.” – Guitar Review magazine
The Duo performs classical works by Mozart, De Falla, Brahms, Schubert, and Weill, as well as contemporary works written for them by Judith Sainte Croix, Martin Rokeach, Frank Brickle, Melissa Grey, David Claman, and Paul Salerni.
Outreach activities for the Duo include free concerts each year for the Lighthouse Guild for the Blind, and Beginnings, a social program for seniors supported by Renewal Care.
In autumn of this year, the Duo will present a special concert at the Tenri Cultural Institute in New York City, featuring several world premieres written for them.
